Reviews for Pupuseria
Review highlights
Based on 263 reviewsPupuseria Café #2 garners consistent praise for its authentic Salvadoran cuisine, particularly its pupusas and corn quesadillas, which are frequently described as flavorful and well-prepared. Reviewers highlight the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, noting that the space is conducive to a comfortable dining experience. Service is generally viewed as attentive and efficient, especially in terms of order taking and table maintenance. However, some feedback points to occasional confusion regarding tipping policies during payment, as automatic gratuities may lead to inadvertent over-tipping. Additionally, the minimum order requirement for telephone takeout has been noted as a potential inconvenience by some customers. Overall, the establishment is recognized for quality food and reliable service, with minor areas for improvement mainly centered on payment transparency and takeout procedures.
Best pupusas ever, great services and I also recommend the corn quesadilla. Love it!!
The pupusas are on point. Bien rico se come aquí. The servers are attentive and quick to take your order and/or refill your water. El servicio es de primera. The atmosphere is chilled and welcoming. Bien chevere se la pasa uno.
The food is delicious, and the service was excellent as well. The only reason for me to lower the service stars for service is because I noticed that when you pay. They add 18% tip automatically from 3 and more people, however; when you're paying, they don't tell you that, but the machine to pay prompts you to add tip, on top of the already added tip, so you could end up tipping them a 33% or more. That is not right to me. I happened to notice this last time I was there so I asked and then skipped the extra 15%+ tip.
Ordered take out. Pork pupusas. Delicious! Saw a sign about telephone orders they must have been burned because there’s a ridiculous requirement of $40 min. Pupusas take 20 minutes to be made why wouldn’t I order ahead. There’s got to be a better way.
